He has performed over 7500 cataracts and has an elite level safety record (8 times better than the audit safety standard) . He is committed to safe surgical practise and is skilled in topical anaesthetic surgery (performed painlessly with a faster recovery). As one of the most experienced cataract surgeons in Scotland, he is particularly skilled in complex cataract surgeries where there can be other coexisting conditions such as glaucoma. In these cases particular expertise is required to get the best chance of a good outcome. A personalised service is given taking your individual needs into consideration.
